This East Brisbane home dated back to the 19th century, and Hugo Design was commissioned to bring the historical home back to life as a burgeoning family home that embodied vision, togetherness, and entertainment.
The inner workings of this grand old lady were put on display with the framework of the home reconstructed on the outside as a decorative feature of the home.
Modern colours of white and dove grey were embraced, with a splash of a hot pink door, centred on the balcony of the façade of the renovated home as a focal accent.
This grand old lady is situated on two blocks of land, which enabled our renovation designer the opportunity to showcase the dramatic historical exterior features, to further highlight the residence’s street appeal.
The renovated character home remained in the fore revealing a chocolate box, brick chimney stack, with Hugo Design adding the new extension at the rear of the home as a separate pavilion. A grand central staircase links the old with the new.
For the finishing touches, our renovation designer incorporated indoor and outdoor entertaining areas and an inground pool, to create the ultimate in Queensland tropical living.
